Sensoria Partners with PRT to Develop NeurOpTrek Wearable

Sensoria Health, a manufacturer of medical health and wellness wearables integrated into articles of clothing, has partnered with Padula Rehabilitation Technologies to develop NeurOpTrek. Announced at the 100th-anniversary meeting of the American Academy of Optometry, NeurOpTrek will be the first wearable to monitor patients for Risk of Fall (ROF) metrics. The device will help to both rehabilitate patients from fall injuries and prevent them from occurring in the future. 

In other accessibility news, the CTA has announced the winners of the Eureka Park Accessibility Contest in the lead-up to 2023. The award is designed to shine a spotlight on startups, which are developing technologies to help improve the lives of older adults and people with disabilities. The five winners, Biomotum, Kalogon, Satellite Display, Strap Technologies, and Xander, will be given a 10-foot by 10-foot booth package in the Eureka Park section at CES 2023 and $2,500. 

Lastly, SoundTube Entertainment has just announced the release of the LA880i-II and LA808i-II line array speakers. The speakers, which come in white and feature an aluminum casing, have a unique three-way design intended to provide a consistent audio ratio throughout the room. The device has eight 4.5-inch woofers, eight 2-inch midrange drivers and one 2.5-inch planar magnetic ribbon high-frequency tweeter.
