Describe your current role.
As the Director of Consumer Insights and Business Operations at Premium Retail Services, I work closely with our client — Google Chromebooks — to optimize retail experience, identify opportunities to expand and better serve customers, and nurture our field talents.

What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of?
I’m helping the team grow along with the rapid growth of Chromebooks. Since I joined, I have helped expand our footprint from Best Buy to Walmart, and grown the team from 200 to 500. I also played a key role in launching our virtual assistance program.

What do you like best about your job?
The business is growing rapidly — like a rocket ship. Our client Google Chromebooks’ team, our retail partners and our own operations team are collaborative, willing to try new things and be goal-getters.

What technology are you most excited about at the moment?
Omnichannel integration / connected commerce — COVID has influenced consumer behavior and work preferences. Our team launched a virtual shopping/customer support platform to help address that shift to provide more flexibility to customers and our field team members.

Who in the CE or technology industry do you look up to, and why?
Elon Musk; he’s bold and controversial, but he is able to deliver what others think impossible.

What career advice would you give to people just getting started in the CE or technology industry?
Since most of us are CE/technology consumers ourselves, we can empathize with what consumers (“we”) want, and improve the experience.

What, in your opinion, is necessary for the CE/technology industry to thrive in the next five years?
CE technology/products/services are just so integrated into people’s day-to-day life 🙂
