Focal says it has completed its Aria line of premiums hi-fi speakers with the unveiling of the Aria K2 936 – a new edition of the Aria 936 model that features the company’s natural flax K2 cone and Ash Grey finish.

Designed and manufactured in France, Aria K2 936 is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a small footprint. It features three bass speaker drivers, a multi-port PowerFlow system for more impact, a floor-facing vent for more depth, an aluminum/magnesium TNF tweeter, and ultra-rigid MDF construction for low vibration and neutrality: the new addition to these technologies is the K2 cone, an exclusive from the Focal brand.

In its trademark yellow, the K2 sandwich cone in aramid fiber was revealed by Focal for the first time in 1986. Made in France, it has continued to evolve over the years, enhancing the brand and combining what Focal says are the three key success factors for a speaker driver: rigidity, lightness and damping. Now comprising an ultralight foam core sandwiched between a layer of aramid fibers and a layer of glass fibers, the K2 cone offers what the company describes as a pure and precise sound with no coloration.

The Focal Aria K2 936 pairs timelessness with modernity, says the company. The choice of Ash Grey finish, a Premium finish exclusive to Focal, combined with a leather-effect front panel, highlights the loudspeaker’s style.

The Aria K2 936 will be $5,990/pair with availability in Q1 of 2021.
