IFA 2020 Special Edition – Tech is Back: Global Brands Ready to Present their Latest Innovations

Companies, start-ups and institutions will use the SHIFT Mobility meets IFA NEXT area to illustrate the extent to which their new tech innovations and products can change everyday life.

An increasing number of global brands will be exhibiting at the upcoming IFA 2020 Special Edition, which takes place from September 3 to 5, to present their latest innovations at the first global tech show since the beginning of the corona crisis. More than 80 international brands and young start-ups will present numerous innovations and products from the entire spectrum of consumer and home electronics in Berlin.

IFA Business, Retail & Meeting Lounges and the innovation platform SHIFT Mobility meets IFA NEXT serve trade visitors.

With Realme, a rising Chinese player in the smartphone market, IFA Global Press Conference presents an IFA premiere. To participate in the IFA 2020 Special Edition, registration in advance is necessary. Registered participants will also receive access to the Xtended Space, the digital extension of the IFA 2020 Special Edition. 

Please note: Due to the current situation we cannot offer on-site accreditation this year. Therefore all interested media representatives are invited to register online. In order to enable as many on-site participants as possible, a query will soon be made as to the days on which an IFA visit is desired in order to coordinate all parties involved as best as possible.

About IFA 2020 Special Edition

The IFA 2020 Special Edition – consisting of physical live events focusing on its B2B core functions of IFA – offers a meeting place for industry and trade in the IFA Business, Retail & Meeting Lounges and cross-industry innovations at SHIFT Mobility meets IFA NEXT. While these event elements are aimed at trade visitors, media representatives can exclusively experience the latest products and services, press briefings and IFA keynotes live at the IFA Global Press Conferences.

Health and safety is a top priority at IFA 2020 Special Edition, which will take place from 3 to 5 September 2020 as a three-day event with a limited number of participants in accordance with current regulations.

Digital IFA Experience

With a virtual extension – the “IFA Xtended Space” – the physical event is complemented by live and on demand streaming of presentations, match-making tools and digital product demonstrations. The Xtended Space thereby is accessible for both on-site guests and all other interested participants around the globe.
