HIFIMAN to Release TWS800 True Wireless Earbuds

HIFIMAN TWS800

HIFIMAN will in October deliver the TWS800 – its second True Wireless earbuds model that offers sonics and extended Bluetooth reception that the company says meets and exceeds expectation for the $299 price.

TWS800 is a full range high-performance Bluetooth 5.0 earbud with a built-in 5-6mW amplifier and audiophile-grade drivers for a frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz that reveals the subtle highs and deep bass inherent all music genres, says the company.

“Bass response and overall harmonics are on a par with some of the best-wired in-ear monitors, in a form factor that is comfortable enough to wear all day,” said Dr. Fang Bian, founder and CEO, HIFIMAN Electronics, in the announcement statement.

An essential factor in the TWS800’s performance is HIFIMAN’s Topological Diaphragm: each earbud’s diaphragm, which converts mechanical vibrations to sound, is covered with a Nano particle coating that contributes to greater sonic detail than is typically associated with True Wireless earphones. A high-impedance (150 ohms) Advanced Alloy Voice Coil maximizes vocal clarity and full-range sonic reproduction. A new magnet offers maximum sensitivity that HIFIMAN says is critical for achieving the best possible sound from smartphones, tablets, and other low-voltage portable devices.

Similar to its predecessor, the TWS800’s Bluetooth 5.0 technology means clear call reception, even in crowded environments. The earphones provide 4.5 hours of playtime, with an additional 31.5 hours available from the metallic portable charging case that cradles the earbuds no matter how large the ear tip. Designed for active use, the TWS800 is IPX4-rated for resistance to sweat and dirt. And its ultra-low latency characteristics allow users to enjoy videos without audible delay, according to the company.
