Japanese audio brand Audio-Technica has launched its first turntable of 2022 – a black edition of the AT-LPW30 manual belt-drive turntable, the AT-LPW30BK.
The LPW30BK turntable from Audio-Technica is designed to deliver optimal high-fidelity audio reproduction from vinyl with a sleek, sophisticated style, the company said.
The two-speed (33 1/3 and 45 RPM) turntable features a wood veneer plinth with a black finish designed to limit low-frequency acoustic feedback.
The turntable can connect directly to speakers and music systems at home, with the built-in preamplifier, plus it has a fully manual, belt-drive operation for its two speeds, and adjustable dynamic anti-skate control.
Other features include a professional anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter with rubber mat, an AT-HS4 headshell and AT-VM95C Dual Moving Magnet phono cartridge with 0.6 mil conical stylus, plus a straight tonearm with hydraulically damped lift control and lockable rest.
The AT-VM95C cartridge is compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, offering a wide choice of options for every application, Audio-Technica says.
