Nikon has announced its third major firmware update for Nikon Z 9.
Users can count on the firmware update to include a new Auto Capture function, improved video recording, and slow-motion video capabilities. The camera also features a customizable shutter sound, a pre-release buffer, and playback enhancements.
The Auto Capture feature is a strong addition to the camera because, according to the company’s press release, it “allows the user to shoot remotely and without having to manually determine the timing of shooting/recording,” changing the game for photographers and videographers who can not stay in the same place for long periods. Nikon’s Z 9 Cameras can also be used in tandem for hand-held and automatic shooting with experienced photographers.
Here’s the kicker – this firmware update is free for Nikon Z 9 owners to download.
