Describe your current role.
As a key accounts sales representative, I manage the relationships with a series of specific regional retailers, both in consumer electronics and in housewares for D&H.

What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of?
I’m proud that through my work with D&H, I’ve been able to grow my overall knowledge of the industry considerably, bringing together my past buyer experience and incorporating it with logistics and sales. It’s given me a bigger-picture view of the consumer electronics field and several surrounding markets.

What do you like best about your job?
The best part of the job is by far the people. D&H is a very relationship-oriented company. Not only do I enjoy the people I work with, who feel like a second family to me, I also love building relationships with vendors and strategizing with their buyers on how to help them succeed with different consumer products.

What technology are you most excited about at the moment?
I love working in that intersection where science and technology meet, especially when it comes to categories like smart healthcare devices and technology products in the wellness space. Wearable devices can track your vital signs or symptoms, record your sleep patterns, even monitor your temperature and determine if you’re running a fever. Users can present this info to their practitioners and contribute to their own health evaluations. This kind of technology can save lives.

What career advice would you give to people just getting started in the CE or technology industry?
The technology industry in general is a very fast-paced field. There’s always something new to learn. Products evolve, standards change — everything is always in motion. The trick is to embrace that rapid pace and learn to love the excitement of it. Run with it, and enjoy it.
