Nikon Z fc Camera Boasts Vintage Look

Nikon Z fc, a DX-format lightweight camera

Nikon last week unveiled its new Nikon Z fc, a DX-format lightweight camera that combines the latest mirrorless technology with a vintage design. Available in six vibrant colors, the camera is a stylish and functional imaging option just in time for beach season.

The Nikon Z fc’s signature feature, the Z mount, is the widest lens mount of any comparable camera system. With the Z mount, the camera captures more light to increase sharpness, contrast, accurate focus, low-light performance, and image quality.

The interface of the Nikon Z fc is meant to evoke analog cameras,  offering an engaging tactile experience. Don’t be fooled by the old school appearance, however: This camera boasts a vari-angle LCD touchscreen, 4K UHD or 1080p video recording, a 20.9-megapixel CMOS sensor for gorgeous photos in any light, and a 209-point hybrid autofocus system, which gives the camera focus points covering approximately 90% of the frame. The vari-angle LCD touchscreen allows the user to perfectly frame the target while taking shots from challenging angles. A lightweight classic with cutting-edge capabilities for professional and amateur use alike, this camera is marketed by Nikon as being perfect for travel photography, and vlogging.

Available in six colors, the price for just the body of the Nikon Z fc is $959.95, with the Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens for 1,099.95, and with the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE lens for $1,999.95.
