In the wake of the pandemic, people are becoming increasingly conscientious of the impact of their surroundings on their personal well-being. This conscientious lifestyle opens up space for retailers to offer products such as air-quality monitors that educates consumers on what the air in their house contains. This week, Airthings, a technology company focused on providing indoor air quality solutions, announced a partnership with CVS Health to carry their products in stores by the end of August 2021. CVS Health will serve as the official retailer of the Airthings Wave Mini smart indoor air quality monitor, and the product will be included in 3,000 of CVS Health’s 9,900 retail locations.
The Wave Mini has the capability to monitor temperature, humidity, airborne chemicals, and mold risk, all from a battery operated bluetooth enabled device. The small device, able to fit in the palm of your hand, is designed to be mounted anywhere throughout the home such as on top of a table or shelf. Via the Bluetooth function, the Wave Mini connects to a smartphone app giving users instant insight into detailed data on the indoor air quality of their home. The Wave Mini helps people preserve lung function by uncovering the presence of aggravating particles and mold in the air, which inflame allergies and increase the risk of an asthma attack.

CVS Health aspires to provide health solutions at an affordable price point. In 2014 they were the first pharmacy retailer to stop carrying tobacco products in their stores. The Wave Mini can be found at participating CVS locations near the pharmacy counter, and can be purchased for $79.99.
