The last full-scale, in-person IFA was held in 2019 — in 2020 a smaller special edition was held and in 2021 the event was canceled due to pandemic uncertainty — but the annual international consumer electronics and appliance industry trade show will be held once again as a full-scale event in Berlin from September 2 through 6.
Typically the conference organizers hold an in-person global press conference in April to announce specifics around the show – special exhibits, keynote speakers, market updates – but this did not take place earlier in the month this year. Instead, the IFA Global Press Conference (GPC) will take place online as a video livestream.
IFA Executive Director Jens Heithecker will share details about IFA 2022 on the livestream. In addition, analyst firms GfK and Omdia will deliver presentations and insights on the latest consumer technology trends across the globe.
