Value Electronics, a leading independent Audio/Video retailer in Westchester County, N.Y., is hosting its annual 4K TV Shootout Evaluation event at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, July 30, 2022 and the 8K TV Shootout Evaluation Event at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at The Company Building, 335 Madison Ave., NYC. This year, Value Electronics partnered again with Dealerscope, the leading B2B Publication in Consumer Tech retailing published by CT Lab Global Media.

With the advancements this year, several new display technologies have come to the market (e.g., more MiniLED, QD OLED, brighter & larger OLEDs and new 8K TV advancements). In keeping up with all the advancements, there will be two TV Shootout Evaluation events: day one for the 4K category and day two for the 8K TV Shootout Evaluation.

The events’ Masters of Ceremonies this year are industry experts. Caleb Denison of Digital Trends is our TV Shootout key presenter, David MacKenzie of Fidelity in Motion will present on understanding how to see and look for Compression Anomalies.

A panel of professional Hollywood video colorists, film finishers, TV reviewers, and video scientists has been assembled to judge, evaluate, and vote on all picture quality attributes to determine which TV will be awarded this year’s “King of 4K TV,” and “King of 8K TV”. Test patterns and real content will demonstrate elements of picture quality, including contrast, color fidelity, color saturation, and motion resolution.

The event’s creator, Robert Zohn, president of Value Electronics, says: “This is a must-see event for all who are interested in the best video displays. We are excited to have two separate categories 4K and 8K TVs, so the public can see how each display compares in these competitive classes. At the conclusion of the 2nd day we’ll put the winners of the 4K and 8K TV Shootout next to each other to demonstrate the visual perception of the differences we can all see between these two top of class 2022 TVs.”

The objective of the TV Shootout events is to award the best TVs in each of the attributes of picture quality. The annual TV Shootout events only use flagship TVs from each of the premium manufacturers that are available in the U.S. at this time.
