Sennheiser’s New Momentum 4 Wireless Headphones Announced

The New Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless

Sennheiser has announced the Momentum 4 Wireless headphones, the latest in the company’s noise-cancelling Momentum series. The Momentum 4 headphones will cost $349.95, which is definitely a premium cost for a premium product, and are up for preorder now, although they will not be in stores until August 23. The most noticeable difference in this product from its predecessors in the Momentum series is its look. The previous entries displayed a stylistically retro look, while the new Momentum 4 opts for a sleeker, more modern design.

Another selling point for the Momentum 4 headphones is a massive battery life, which Sennheiser says reaches up to 60 hours on one charge. This battery life, if true, surpasses the company’s competitors’ hour count by at least double. Sennheiser has also touted the Momentum 4’s comfortability and advanced noise cancellation system as features for the new model. Of course, Sennheiser is known for its premium sound quality, but something interesting about the Momentum 4 headphones is the fact that they cannot fold up like many competitors’ headphones can. Instead, they come with a hardshell case to protect them in transport.

Christian Ern, Sennheiser Principal Product Manager Consumer Headphones, had this to say about the Momentum 4 on the Sennheiser’s blog post: “Our MOMENTUM range has always set the standard for sophisticated listening with superior sound. The new MOMENTUM 4 Wireless once again raises the bar – delivering best-in-class sound quality with advanced Adaptive Noise Cancellation and exceptional comfort.  Thanks to features including Transparency Mode, Built-in EQ and a new Sound Personalization feature, users can listen in their own customized way.”
