HONOR to Unveil HONOR Magic V2 Foldable Smartphone at IFA Leaders Summit
HONOR, a global provider of smart devices, will launch its latest innovation, the HONOR Magic V2 foldable smartphone, at IFA Berlin 2023. The unveiling of the Magic V2 will coincide with the opening keynote, “Unfold tomorrow,” at the IFA Leaders Summit Programme given by HONOR CEO George Zhao. This keynote will “explore the rise of the emerging foldable technology and the impact on creativity, as well as what this might mean for the future of lifestyle,” according to the IFA Berlin website.
The Magic V2 smartphone is remarkably thin and lightweight, measuring 4.7mm unfolded and 9.9 mm folded and weighing 231g. The smartphone has a lightweight titanium hinge that ensures smooth unfolding and provides seamless, creaseless integration of the dual screens. The Magic V2 has an inner screen measuring 7.92 inches and an external screen measuring 6.43 inches that have a greater than 90 percent screen-to-body ratios. The screens are protected by second-generation nanocrystal glass. It has a triple rear camera system featuring a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, a 50 MP wide main camera, and a 20 MP telephoto camera in that order. The smartphone also has a 16 MP dual front wide camera.
Despite its compact size, the Magic V2 houses a 5000mAh HONOR silicon-carbon dual battery that is slim but packs a punch with all-day power usage with 66W of HONOR SuperCharge. The Magic V2 is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. The HONOR Magic V2 also has the capability to connect with other compatible HONOR devices.
The IFA Leaders Summit Programme will occur on September 1 and 2 in Hall 21b on the Main Stage. HONOR CEO George Zhao will give the keynote address at 10:00 local time.
Liebherr Will Present BluRoX Vacuum Insulation Technology
Global equipment manufacturer Liebherr is unveiling its latest appliance innovations at IFA 2023 in Hall 2.1, stand #102. Liebherr will be showing a variety of its appliance offerings, but the highlight will be its newest innovation: BluRoX vacuum perlite insulation technology.
BluRoX is a sustainable alternative for cooling and freezing that divulges from conventional polyurethan-foam (PU) elements used in standard insulation by incorporating finely ground lava stone. Also known as perlite, this ground lava stone provides exceptional insulation and low thermal conductivity because of its crystalline microstructure, according to Liebherr’s website. Perlite is used in combination with a vacuum to provide insulation, providing an energy-efficient and compact solution to cooling and freezing. When incorporated, BluRoX insulation technology also makes walls thinner by approximately one-third but 25 percent greater volume when compared to the walls of a conventional foam-insulated appliance. Liebherr weaves sustainability into the entire life cycle of BluRoX by making it removable and reusable without substantial processing due to BluRoX not being bonded to the surrounding components.
At their stand, Liebherr will also be presenting refrigerators and freezers with energy efficiency classes A and B, AutoDoor technology, OpenStage glass transparent drawers, and freshness technologies like BioFresh, BioFresh Professional with Hydrobreeze, and Fish & Seafood Safe. Hop in on the Gameplay at the IFA Gaming Area and IFA Gaming Night
IFA Berlin 2023 will be showcasing the significant role of gaming in the consumer technology and electronics industries at the IFA Gaming Area. The Gaming Area will be a part of the show on the main exhibition grounds and will be in operation during all five days of IFA.
IFA Gaming Area will be in Hall 11.2 and will include a hands-on EA SPORTS F1 23 gaming experience and live stage program. Indie game studios from Berlin such as Metagame AI, Grizzly Games, and Legendary Play will be presenting their games over the course of IFA as well.
At IFA Gaming Night, taking place at the esports gaming venue LVL in Berlin on Saturday, September 2, IFA and LVL World of Gaming will offer attendees gaming experiences and interesting panel discussions. Level Infinite, for instance, will be showing its new game Synched. Other indie game developers will have their titles on display as well, such as Techno Bartner (from Dexai Art UG, CACTUS, Axon Flux), Beat Slayer (from Byte Rockers), The Fallen (from Vision Keeper Studio), NeoFlux Drift (from Broken Lobster), and Thronefall (from Grizzly Games). The panel discussion will assess the current state of the gaming industry and current developments.
