TCL Makes the TIME World’s Best Companies 2023 and Forbes World’s Best Employers 2023 Lists

Honors abound for TCL at the tail end of 2023. The global consumer electronics and smart technology company was recently recognized as one of TIME World’s Best Companies 2023 and Forbes World’s Best Employers 2023 for its achievements in employee satisfaction and engagement, revenue growth, and its Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG).

Founded in 1981, TCL has display panels, TVs, home comfort, and mobile devices listed under its brand. Today, TCL operates 32 manufacturing bases and 48 R&D centers worldwide with products and services in over 160 countries. This marks the first time TCL has joined the TIME World’s Best Companies list and the third consecutive year it has made the Forbes World’s Best Employers list. This year, TCL ranked 604 on the TIME list and 582 on the Forbes list.

The TIME World’s Best Companies list is determined by a comprehensive analysis conducted by Statista Inc. to identify the top-performing global companies for investors, employees, and the planet. The Forbes World’s Best Employers list, also based on a comprehensive analysis by Statista, Inc., surveyed more than 170,000 employees in over 50 countries who work for multinational companies and institutions. Employees rate their companies based on criteria like “talent development, remote working options, parental leave benefits, diversity, work-life balance and pride in the product or services the company offers,” according to Forbes.

“We are honored to be awarded by both TIME and Forbes for our efforts in safeguarding the rights and interests of our employees, facilitating steady growth as well as promoting sustainable practices – all of which speak highly of our dedication to talent development,” said Yuki Wei, Vice President of TCL Technology, in a press release. “TCL will continue to improve the lives and experiences of our employees, customers and those in markets in which we operate by fostering an exciting and positive work environment, constantly refining our efforts on ESG topics.”
