Game Development Platform Homa Receives €100 Million Investment

Homa, a company that provides a platform for game developers, recently received over €100 million ($100 million) in Series B funding.

The company, founded in 2018, produces technologies for game developers around the world. These technologies offer developers the opportunity to increase execution speed, and as the company says, “maximize their chance of success.”

Homa Lab uses a tech platform that offers market insights, as well as analytics, ideas and A/B testing options to game studios. Game developers use this for all stages of a title’s production, from building prototypes to monetization.

To date, the company has raised approximately €168 million ($165 million), with over 160 employees. Furthermore, the company claims to have “powered” games that have been installed over one billion times, with downloads increasing by over 100% in less than a year.

The recent €100 million investment comes courtesy of co-leaders Quadrille Capital and Headline, with Northzone, Fabric Ventures, Bpifrance, Eurazeo and Singular as participants.

Homa says the investment will go towards growing the business, specifically via “investments in tech and data products, tapping into a global talent pool, executing on new partnerships, and doing strategic acquisitions.”

“Homa’s all-in-one platform empowers independent developers globally to reach the production and marketing capabilities of large studios. We were impressed by the team assembled by Daniel and Olivier, demonstrating a rare combination of vision, flawless execution and relentless work ethic,” said Brice Delome, partner at Quadrille Capital.

“We are enthusiastic about supporting Homa’s journey to democratise and reinvent mobile gaming.”

“This new round of funding is a testament to the boundless ambition of our team,” said Daniel Nathan, co-founder and CEO of Homa.

“Homa’s technology is helping game studios of all sizes elevate their potential, starting by working on the right idea, speeding up production, making better decisions with data, and distributing their app across the world.”
