
Google has made it official. All Google Nest and Android devices are now enabled to support Matter compatibility. Onboarding another major manufacturer in the consumer tech space is a huge step for the interoperability standard, which just released its 1.0 version back in October. Now any device from Google’s Nest or Home suite of products can serve as a Matter hub from which users can create a smart home featuring a diverse array of products and brands.
In other news, GE has announced that it will be using the platform provided by CES 2023 to launch its new GE Profile Smart Mixer with Auto Sense. The smart device can accurately weigh out ingredients in the mixing bowl and monitor changes in texture and viscosity of the dough throughout the mixing process. This nifty device also comes with voice control, allowing the user to stay on top of the mixing process while keeping their hands free.
Lastly, Oppo, a smartphone manufacturer you may not be familiar with, has just released what it claims to be the lightest foldable horizontal smartphone on the market. The Find N2, which weighs in at just 8.2 ounces is nearly an ounce lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
