Qualcomm Unveils New Wi-Fi 7 Home Network Platform

Qualcomm Technologies has announced its new Wi-Fi network offering for the home, which will support the latest high-speed broadband connections. The company’s Wi-Fi 7 Immersive Home Platform is a compact, power-efficient device that delivers more than 20Gbps of total system capacity. The platform also introduces Qualcomm’s new Multi-Link mesh, which enables low latency through aggregating or alternating links in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz unlicensed spectrum bands. Wi-Fi 7 delivers 80% higher capacity compared to Wi-Fi 6 and boasts an expanded 5 GHz spectrum performance. The new platform is expected to launch in the second half of 2023.

In other news, ViewSonic has unveiled the latest additions to its lineup of Luminous Superior Series Projectors. The LS610 series projectors, which includes the LS610WH and the LS610HDH, are the company’s newest cost-effective devices that are capable of 30,000 operating hours. They feature the latest third generation LED technology, which make them ideal for middle to large-sized conference rooms, training rooms, and classrooms.

Lastly, media company Hodinkee has partnered with musician John Mayer and watch manufacturer G-Shock on the new G-SHOCK DW6900JM22-2. The watch was inspired by the 1980s Casio PT-1 keyboard, which was the first keyboard Mayer used. It features a matte dusty blue case and strap, as well as a peach, coral, and turquoise “Triple Graph” display. The G-SHOCK DW6900JM22-2 By John Mayer is available now for $180.
