New Technologies from Beko Emphasize Collective Action Toward Sustainable Society

Beko, a global company in the home appliance industry that offers a wide range of innovative and sustainable products, conveyed a strong message today at the IFA Berlin 2023 technology conference. The home appliance company remarked on the goals required to achieve a sustainable society. Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Akın Garzanlı and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Ragıp Balcıoğlu introduced the “positive domino effect” philosophy which drives the company’s product strategy and technology innovation. To demonstrate this, Beko debuted two new technologies under its global brands: EnergySpin by Beko and AI-Sense by Grundig.

EnergySpin by Beko reinvents the laundry process by making it more energy efficient. By releasing detergent upfront and applying higher-than-average drum speeds to dissolve detergent and fight stains instead of relying on heat, the EnergySpin technology reduces energy consumption by 35 percent when compared with conventional machines. EnergySpin by Beko will be on the market by the end of 2023.

Grundig’s AI-Sense elevates the smart washing machine experience while promoting Beko’s sustainability mission. AI-Sense automatically identifies fabric type, soil level, load weight, and rinse requirements to optimize detergent, energy, and water use. The technology will be available in 2024.

Also at IFA Berlin 2023, Beko will create an interactive experience designed to inform consumers about the potential of the positive domino effect through a free-to-play video game, DOMINO: The Little One. The game helps consumers understand the impacts of their choices by being set in a fantasy world devastated by climate change. Players survive within the game by taking positive, incremental actions. It will be available on Steam, App Store, and Google Play this winter.
