IFA Berlin 2023 is fast approaching, and while there will be a bevy of notable exhibitors present at the consumer electronics trade show, IFA Berlin boasts some exciting exhibitions itself. One of these main exhibitions is the IFA Gaming Area, a testament to the significant role gaming plays in the industry’s current and future state. In a press release, IFA Berlin estimates that “total gaming revenue is expected to rise from US$227 billion in 2023 to US$312 billion in 2027, representing a 7.9% CAGR”, especially with developments in AR/VR technology and “40 percent of Gen Z interested in playing games.”

Gamers and casual players alike will enjoy experiencing the Gaming Area, which will serve as a platform for attendees to participate in gaming displays and network with key players in the gaming world. The show’s organizers will also work with the local gaming scene, associations, and partners to build a platform for future applications. The IFA Gaming Area will serve as a way to highlight the range of possibilities for the gaming industry, as well as the diversity of video games.

The IFA Gaming Area will be in Hall 11.2 and will include a gaming experience and live stage program of EA SPORTS’ F1 23, which was released back in June. Additionally, indie game studios from Berlin, such as Metagame AI, Grizzly Games, and Legendary Play, will present their games throughout IFA.

“IFA 2023 is the year we set the stage for what will be an annual gaming presence complete with exciting experiences and meaningful conversations,” said in a press release Cornelia Schwobe, Sales Director, Consumer Electronics of IFA Management GmbH. “The games industry is predicted to grow significantly. We’re planning to continue the growth of gaming at IFA as well to reflect the continued appetite for the industry to be present at one of the world’s leading tech shows.”

IFA Gaming Night

The gaming does not stop at the IFA Gaming Area for IFA Berlin 2023. IFA Gaming Night, taking place at the state-of-the-art Esports gaming venue LVL in Berlin on Saturday, September 2, will keep the gaming stations coming while holding interesting panel discussions.

Level Infinite will present its new game, SYNCHED. Other indie game developers will also have their titles on display, such as Techno Bartner from Dexai Art UG, CACTUS, Axon Flux; Beat Slayer from Byte Rockers; and The Fallen from Vision Keeper Studio, among others.

The program at IFA Gaming Night includes a gaming panel discussing the gaming industry’s current state and developments. A wide variety of perspectives will be shared by the panel, which will have the likes of Guilia Ortmann from JamFM, Joshua Neumann from Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg, Chiara Haller from Berlin Esports Club, and Cornelia Schwobe from IFA Management taking part. The moderator will be Michael Liebe from Booster Space. The IFA Gaming Area and IFA Gaming Night are shaping up to be exciting and insightful events showcasing the current and future states of video games and the gaming industry.

IFA Berlin 2023 will occur from September 1-5 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds (Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin). Tickets are available online at www.ifa-berlin.com
