Canon Unveils Ultra-Wide RF 10-20mm f/4 L IS STM Lens

Canon has unveiled its latest RF-mount lens, the RF 10-20mm f/4 L IS STM, designed as an ultra-wide zoom lens to cater to the needs of landscape, architectural, interior, and cityscape photographers. A successor to the popular EF 11-24mm f/4L USM lens, this new release offers even broader coverage with its 10mm focal length, all in a more compact and lighter body.

The lens features optical image stabilization, ensuring sharp images, and its advanced optics reduce distortion and aberrations. Notably, it’s 1.3 pounds lighter than the EF-mount 11-24mm lens, making it a more manageable option. The lens is equipped with a high-speed STM autofocus system, and its close minimum focusing distance of 9.8 inches is ideal for close-up shots with a wide depth of field. Additionally, it comes with a range of user-friendly features, such as an assignable Control Ring, weather-sealed construction, and a built-in cut-gel filter holder. This L-series lens is suitable for use in various conditions, providing excellent image quality for both photographers and videographers.

Nikon Unveils NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Super-Telephoto Lens

Nikon has introduced its latest premium super-telephoto lens, the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S, as an addition to their popular PF lens lineup. This lightweight and portable S-Line prime lens is tailored for wildlife, aviation, and motorsport photographers who require fast and precise focus without compromising image quality. Weighing in at just 3 pounds and measuring approximately 11 inches in length, it’s the lightest in its class, thanks to the Phase Fresnel (PF) lens element.

This lens offers superior optical performance, ideal for handheld shooting, with its center of gravity positioned for optimal balance, making it perfect for panning in fast-action scenarios. It reduces chromatic aberration, offers advanced autofocus and vibration reduction (VR) performance, and can be extended to 840mm or 1200mm with Nikon’s teleconverters. With a suggested retail price of $4799.95, the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S will be available in late October, delivering top-notch performance for photographers capturing distant subjects.
